Since the late 1970s, Christopher Wool has readdressed and expanded the process of painting. And yet like Beckett's Godot, its importance, let alone its existence, may well be something that can never be quite confirmed. Wool offers no reassurances to the contrary. A nice suite of Wools work

This is a nice suite of prints which deal with Wools obliteration painting technique. While the majority are in Black and White, there are some startling colour examples here too, which give the viewer a bit more in terms of Wools style. If your looking for an overview of his work, then I suggest getting hold of that retrospective catalogue published years ago. The design of this book has some good and bad points about it. The good thing is that the printing is fantastic, and the images are huge ( at least A3 in size )...but the down size is that it's a big, skinny, floppy thing to lug around!
